What does this mean reference training a gundog?

Answer

Through means of the KELFORD LIFSTYLE TRAINING PROGRAM when the relationship is balanced the canine will look to the owner for recognition prior to taking action as he will look to follow that human he respects & trusts, for direction in all they participate in.

At KELFORD the owner will firstly acknowledge his expectations, be educated  & in  full understanding of how to direct his canine companion into responding positively to his wishes, whilst incorporating the canine natural hunting, flushing, pointing, retrieving skills.
Training & working the gundog should be a pleasure for both participating
The dog should never feel he is being stifled by the owner. He should be offered the opportunity to excel in the field.
The owner should recognize his own worth, his personal comfort zone, and work with ease at a calm energy level. When this advice is followed, although the natural comfort zone for human & canine are at very different level, harmony is achieved.
That special day is then enjoyed by all participating.   

Novice Handler?
Are you a novice handler with little or no experience of training a particular gundog breed?
A huge number of gundog owners that have visited over the years have had little or no knowledge of what is expected of them or of their dog whilst participating in a days shooting, whether it be general rough shooting or a commercial shooting day.
The main fear is that they do not want to appear inadequate, or that their dog lets them down on the day due to lack of discipline. When trained correctly through the development of the canine /human trust/respect bond, the dog will never let the owner down.
The dog will enjoy the participation of a worthy controller and take pride in responding to positive direction regardless of all distractions around even when surrounded by game when the natural working instincts are at a high.

Experienced Trainer/Handler with a problem?

Frequently we are contacted by professional Gundog Trainers/Gundog Breeders that have realized they are unable to correct specific issues with a particular dog. They have tried all of the techniques that have previously worked for them, but  to no avail. We offer them the opportunity to come along to KELFORD for direction as to how to correct the dog through non aggressive, manipulative skills, unique to The KELFORD Rebalancing  Program.
These dogs have gone on to achieve at a far higher level than their owner/trainer had ever thought possible.
